Social Involvement Program (SIP)
St. Benedict Social Action Center
The St. Benedict Social Action Center continually commits itself to the task of social transformation through an education of the whole person deeply rooted in Christ.
Within this general framework, the curriculum for social awareness and involvement is contextualized through the Social Involvement Program.
This program enables the school community to journey with the less privileged and to concretize its responsibility in empowering those in need to mobilize their inner strength and perseverance. Through concerted efforts, both the rich and the poor can work together to create positive change in society and build a future that is better than the past.
Furthermore, the Social Involvement Program has been designed to affirm the social thrust and service orientation of the Benedictine Educational Apostolate. Likewise, it supports the empowerment of all sectors of the school community—including the administration, faculty, non-teaching personnel, students, parents, and the wider community—toward genuine transformation and an improved quality of life.
Tulong Dunong Program
The SSA Alumni Association, in partnership with the St. Benedict Social Action Center – Social Involvement Program, implements the Tulong Dunong Program to provide Grades 1–3 learners from Bagong Sibol and Sitio Abandoned with tutorials in English, Mathematics, and Catechesis.
The SSA Alumni Association sponsors the learners’ meals, while volunteer tutors composed of the SSA Alumni Association Adopt-A-Scholar scholars, Grade School and High School faculty, and Non-Teaching Personnel (NTP) facilitate the learning sessions. Through this collaborative effort, the program supports the children’s academic, spiritual, and holistic development.
SaSSAup Ku Donation Drive Program
The SaSSAup Ku Donation Drive Program is a community outreach initiative of St. Scholastica’s Academy of Pampanga that mobilizes the SSA community—the SSA Alumni Association, Grade School and High School faculty, Non-Teaching Personnel (NTP), Maintenance Personnel (MP), parents, and Scholasticans—as well as external donors to provide assistance to partner communities and individuals in need.
Through scheduled donation drives and emergency response initiatives, the program collects and distributes essential goods, including support for the beneficiaries of Anak Balebalayan and communities affected by calamities. Guided by the Benedictine values of service, community, hospitality, and humility, the program fosters generosity, solidarity, and social responsibility while responding to the needs of vulnerable sectors.
