ST. SCHO | February 10, 2026 — On this day, the Grade School and High School Department gathered at St. Cecilia’s Covered Court to commemorate the Feast Day of our patroness—St. Scholastica. She was a woman of prayer and obedience who devoted her life to God from her first breath until the last. Before the mass, a short presentation wherein a conversation that St. Scholastica had with her twin brother was also reenacted to set the solemnity of the celebration.
During the homily, Rev. Fr. Angel Gamboa highlighted a phrase, “Listen with the ear of your heart” from the Rule of St. Benedict. He reminded the students that they must listen wholeheartedly, just as St. Scholastica had longed her brother to. He also stated that to listen is to understand and foster deep connections with one another despite no words uttered.
Afterward, the Student Council hosted a short program, testing the knowledge of Scholasticans with questions about St. Scholastica. With this, students were able to further reflect on the spiritual life she lead.
The High School Principal, Ms. Julieta Tayag then awarded those who participated in recent competitions held at Chevalier School. The awards are as follows:
