Gospel: Mark 10:13–16
People were bringing their little children to Jesus that he might touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this he became indignant and said to them: “Let the children come to me. Do not prevent them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.” Then he embraced the children and blessed them, placing his hands on them.
Reflection:
One of the qualities of children is that they give joy towards others. They enjoy life and have a capacity for happiness, laughter and contentment. Children are honest and they do not hide their thoughts or emotions. They express their feelings and emotions in various ways. So they can be great models for adults.
No wonder Jesus rebuked his disciples when they prevented the children to come Him.
Jesus is inviting us to imitate the good qualities of the children.
