Gospel: Luke 19: 45 – 48
Jesus entered the temple area and proceeded to drive out those who were selling things, saying to them, “It is written, My house shall be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.”
And every day he was teaching in the temple area.
The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people, meanwhile, were seeking to put him to death, but they could find no way to accomplish their purpose because all the people were hanging on his words.
Reflection:
The Cleansing of Our Souls
This passage reminds us to clean and purify our souls for this is the desire of Jesus for all of us. He wishes to root out all evil in our hearts which is not be easy to do and requires a lot of humility and renunciation, but with the grace of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we may attain the cleansing and purification of our souls.
Lord, help me to battle with my weaknesses for I am weak. Help me to clean and purify my soul by strengthening my faith in you. I need you in my life to be worthy child of God.
